Clothing
The Nursery has protective clothing for children during mess activities. The Nursery encourages children’s independence and ability to look after themselves. These include going to the toilet themselves (under supervision) and being able to put on and take off outdoor clothing. It is helpful if children have labeled clothing, which is easy to manage.
Special Needs
We treat all children as individuals and make appropriate provision for any child with special needs. We work within the 1993 Education Act and the Special Education Needs Code of Practice 2000. The Nursery’s Special Needs Coordinator is Becky Sheriff. At any one time it may be appropriate for us to be advised by specialist teachers to support your child in the setting during normal activities.
